Aims and Scope

Innovation Transport Technologies and Urban Modelling is a peer-reviewed open access journal that aims to advance knowledge and foster innovation in the field of transport systems and urban mobility. The journal provides a platform for the dissemination of original research, methodological developments, and practical applications focused on improving the design, operation, sustainability, and digital transformation of transport systems and infrastructure.

The journal welcomes contributions that explore innovative technological, computational, and planning approaches addressing contemporary challenges in the transport sector, including the integration of intelligent systems, automation, digital modeling, and environmental responsibility.

The scope of the journal covers all modes of transport: road, rail, air, maritime, inland waterways, non-motorized, and multimodal systems – as well as the full spectrum of transport infrastructure, from physical networks (roads, railways, terminals) to intelligent and connected infrastructures.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary research bridging engineering, urban studies, environmental science, data science, and public policy. By publishing high quality papers, the journal supports informed decision-making and technological development toward more efficient, equitable, and sustainable transport systems.

All submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review to ensure scientific quality and relevance. The journal is open access, ensuring that published research is freely accessible to a global audience.
